It's still grilling weather in these (New England) parts. So I took my new pizza stone for a test drive. On the grill. But first I laid out the ingredients. We had garden tomatoes, spinach, blue cheese, ricotta, some mozzarella, chicken sausage, herbs, tomato sauce and BBQ sauce.
I then dressed the cooked side with sauce, cheese and the toppings. Once the cheese melted I shimmied it off with the pizza peel.
I love the combinations of veggies and herbs on these pizzas, and the types of cheese really meld together well. My favorite combination would probably have to be tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, chicken sausage, tomatoes, ricotta cheese and a sprinkling of mozzarella. Yum.

Grilled onions, prosciutto, diced pepperoni, tons of mozzarella and a sprinkle of parmesan on top...mmm!
ReplyDeleteits a toss up: goat cheese and fresh figs or sliced jalepenos and anchovies...needless to say, I usually get the whole pizza to enjoy by myself!
