A Wintry Mix

Just dropping in to give a quick hello while I assemble my Halloween costume. I am currently tangled up in shiny gold fabric and speckled with red and blue fabric dye. I'll be back with a photo soon. But I'll give you a hint:

I also wanted to show you another spectacularly cartoonish sight: Snow. At the farmers market. In October. Taken yesterday. That white stuff on the ground is indeed snow.

 REALLY?! I can't even believe there was enough snow for some kid to build this!

And right now, snow is wildly falling from the sky and piling up on my freshly cut grass. The meteorologists predict another 12 inches of snow overnight, with the possibility of strong winds and power outages.

I suppose winter is here.
