This year was all about challenging myself in ways I never thought possible. Most of it came in the form of running.
I ran two marathons this year, one in 4:53 and one in 4:43. What I had never thought possible had come true... twice. And raised $3,278.00 for the Melanoma Foundation of New England. Thank you to everyone!!
Also, as of today, I ran 1,000 miles since January 1, 2010. That's just under 3 miles per day, every day for 365 days. Or, 120,000 extra calories burned (or eaten, considering my weight stayed the same.) Or, 3 pairs of burnt-out running sneakers. Or, 5,280,000 feet traveled. Okay, I'll stop.
Through it all though, I repeated my running mantra that got me through many-a-tough runs.
Running is a privilege. Treat it as such.
Let's start at the beginning.
First race of the year: Bradford Valentine's Day Race
Stu's 30K
Boston Marathon 2010!

Manchester Maple Leaf Half Marathon with Eliz
San Francisco Nike Womens' Marathon
Okay, this day was.
But this day? Not so much.
I also spent a lot of time in this little corner of my house.
Especially this day. I enjoyed two whole movies that day!
1,000 miles today!

Thanks to all of the wonderful people who supported and inspired me along the way, dragged me out of bed for running dates, cheered me on, believed in me, and for everyone's kind words along the way. It's been a great year!
Here are some other highlights from 2010:

And the holidays.
And family. Definitely family.
And who can forget food?
