Last week I had the pleasure of attending two excellent blogging experiences I want to share.


Healthy Habits Kitchen: I was contacted by the sweet folks at Healthy Habits Kitchen in Wellesley to try out their "healthy fast food on the go" kitchen/restaurant concept. Basically, you can call in an order off their "home-made, made easy" menu, you drop by to pick it up, and most of the prep work is already done. At HHK, they guarantee that most meals can be cooked in less than 30 minutes, each meal costs about $4.00 per serving, and less than 400 calories, 30% fat, and 800 mg of sodium!


The meal I got to try out was the sweet cider BBQ chicken and an Asian noodle salad. The kit for 2-3 people came with precut chicken, the sweet cider sauce, and noodle salad. How easy and convenient!

Not only does Healthy Habits Kitchen do healthy meals for under five bucks, but they also host events. The location would be an ideal place for a ladies' night out or a child's birthday party. Finally, all of the menus are reviewed by a dietitian, and HHK also hosts summer workshops. Their next workshop is 8/25 and is on Filling Foods (That Won't Fill You Out) and Dieting Do's and Dont's. If you live/work near the Wellesley area, I highly suggest you check it out!

The Uncle Sam Cereal Van: In case you haven't heard, Uncle Sam cereal has a promotion going on where you can enter to have them come to your place of work and serve a free breakfast. Well guess what? They came to Worcester!


They arrived at one of my work sites,

and served a healthy breakfast to all the staff there,

with a smile!

Until the promotion, I knew very little about Uncle Sam cereal. Apparently it's been around since 1908. And I can see why... it's really good and good for your digestive tract!

Weighing in at a whopping 10 grams of fiber per 3/4 cup serving, this cereal is one sure way to get your morning going!
