Help Haiti... Support a Local Team of Health Workers Leaving For Haiti on Tuesday

I know many of you want to do something to help the people in Haiti out during this nightmarish time. Here is a great way to support a local team traveling to Haiti next week, and they desperately need your support and prayers.

A local pediatrician from Gardner, MA and a team of 11 health workers are leaving Tuesday, January 19th to Haiti. In 2006, Dr. Mulqueen started Forward in Health, a series of trips and clinics that are a permanent medical presence intended to provide basic health services to Haitians.

This local group of servants deserves our support in any way we can give it to them. Any money donated to Forward in Health will go to deferring the travel costs and providing supplies to Haitians once they get there. On Dr. Mulqueen's blog, he quotes that these mission trips take 4-6 months to arrange; they've done it in 3 days. I hope you'll find a way to support them.

What they can use is a donation and prayers from you. You can donate directly on their website by clicking here or going to http://www.forwardinhealth.org/ways-to-give.html. I invite you to visit the Forward in Health blog to get up-to-date information on how the team is preparing for this journey by clicking here.

  1. What a great idea to post this. My brother in law's family is from Haiti and they lost a family member due to the quake. It's such a sad, sad situation.
