It snowed last night!
We bought some cutesy ornaments to trim our tree. Somehow a few escaped and decided to play in the new snow! :-)
I hurried back in for a cup of French press coffee and a killer egg and cheese sandwich, using local eggs, Cabot sharp cheddar cheese, and a Portuguese roll.

Later today we're off to cut down our tree. I feel so New England-y when we go out onto a snowy Christmas tree farm and the men have their saws and cut down trees. Totally against my tree-hugger morals, yet still a good time. I also like drinking hot Swiss Miss chocolate out of Styrofoam cups!
The environmentalist in me just died.

These pictures are beautiful! You definitely captured the best parts about the holiday seasons here - snow and decorating! Have fun getting your tree! That was my #1 favorite thing to do when I was little :-)
ReplyDeleteJess, your last comment made me laugh out loud. I love your ornaments in the snow. That photo could go on a calendar!
ReplyDeleteHave fun cutting the tree. The snow came just in time.
gorgeous photos!!
ReplyDeletemy family always cuts down a tree. it may not be "green" but its a holiday tradition, and it brings the family together (minus the fights over which tree is the best ;) )
