Honestly speaking, the Healthy Living Summit is to food bloggers what a Star Trek Convention is to trekkies!
So let me start from the beginning. Friday afternoon, I met Cat, my blog-reader roomie, and we bonded right away! She knew I was interested in local food, so she brought me a Maryland-made bag of Michele's Granola. Flavor? Cherry Chocolate Macadamia. Amazingly, decadently delicious stuff.
Over lunch of sandwiches, grilled veggies, and fresh fruit, Gina and I met up, and realized we share the same birthday, same year!
After the afternoon sessions, we drank Pom pomegranate juice during our break.
After closing remarks and TONS more giveaways, the group took a beautiful group photo!
For dinner, we joined our fellow bloggers and headed down to the North End for some Italian food.
We shared a cannoli (we were practicing moderation) from Mike's Pastry.
After experiencing the sheer amount of crowdedness, Cat, Nicole and I decided to veer off to a North End pub for dinner. We had a great chat about nutrition, fitness, weight (gains and losses), and personal bests (and worsts) we've experienced; it felt like I had known these girls for years!
One very restful sleep later...
...the Healthy Living Summit girls headed to the Charles River park for a run.

Overall, it was an amazing summit with some very useful blogging information; it felt inspiring to meet some of the most strong, powerful, beautiful (on the inside and out) women around who openly share their stories (in the public format of a blog) of health, fitness, wellness, and barriers they overcome to acheive their success. Looking forward to next year! :-)
I was SO inspired by this Summit, that I will be randomly choosing a winner to receive a City Sports Boston T-shirt I snagged today! Leave a comment on this post by FRIDAY for your chance to get this lovely classic T!
